I am a huge fan of art fairs. This past Labor day weekend I spent a few hour perusing the tents of the Septemberfest in Schaumburg, IL. I have to say that every time I go to one of these I am blown away by the talent and creativity displayed there. If you’re ever in search of a new idea or a burst of inspiration I would highly recommend checking out a local fair. Every year I usually try to pick one thing to purchase. This year my favorite booth was the silverware jewelry. It pretty much is what it sounds like…jewelry made out of old silverware.
Not only is this silver accessory uniquely beautiful, but it’s Earth friendly by being a great way to recycle your old sets, in fact the makers of these pieces are usually more than happy to take donations. The jewelry is fairly inexpensive too. I got my bracelet for $15. Check out some styles found online www.greatgreengoods.com
