In 2006, a precedence was set. Twenty minutes. Ten corn dogs. One funnel cake. One man. a man on a mission to do the impossible. Yet that dream never came to fruition for Josh Jensen. The dream of victory unraveled when he couldn’t finish the last of the hot dogs coated in cornbread batter and deep fried in hot oil.
Fast forward two years. It was a rainy end to an otherwise fantastic Swedish Days in Geneva. A perfect setting for the second ever challenge of man versus some of the worst food your body could endure. This year was different though. It pitted man against food against man against food. Our own intern, Craig, emerged victorious by eating two full funnel cakes and a corn dog in under ten minutes.
How many funnel cakes and corn dogs could you eat in under ten minutes? If you’re feeling ambitious this 4th of July holiday, why not give this stomach-filling, heartattack-inducing contest a try? After you wake up from your grease and sugar induced coma, let us know how that worked out for you. Whether you’re feeling that daring or not, we wish you a happy, and safe, 4th of July!
