This Fall is trucking right along. The leaves are changing daily and the mornings are getting more and more crisp. September is now almost a month behind us and I’m finally writing the brief what I did review. Changing up the format a bit, tell me what you think.
September 2008:
Travel: Visited Denver, took a maiden voyage to Toronto and Devil’s Head, WI.
- Where did you go?
Read: Started committing more to reading Inc, Economist & some fav blogs like TED Blog.
Also finished an interesting book called Richistan
- What are you fav magazines, blogs or recent books?
Watched: The Office is back, MadMen is fantastic, saw a ho hum Burn after Reading…
- Been really underwhelmed by movies lately. Have you?
Active: Did my Century ride – yahoo! Haven’t trained as much since, need to get on it.
- Did you do any races, rides, hikes or physically challenging something?
Work: R29 worked on several new branding initiatives, several books, became a member of the LIA board, filmed a PSA and some videos for the American Red Cross, R29 won a bunch of awards (21 in all), and prepped for the Create Chaos conference.
- What cool jobs, experiences, accolades or whatever happened to you?
Purchased: Some new iPhone apps, a friend’s iPod magic, and some sweet Tom’s shoes.
- Give me something here, what did you purchase – need some Christmas ideas!
Next Month: Started a couple good books and hoping to see some new films – see you in a few weeks. But tell me, what did you do or are doing in October, better yet what are you going to be for Halloween (Please send pictures for the October installment – I will post them with mine!)

I also made a trip to Denver and did a long (organized) bike ride. I only did 40 miles – still training for my century. And I got to the 3/4 mark in the French version of Notre Dame de Paris (the Hunchback!)
Well, nothing much. Oh, I quit my job and started my own agency. You know, that old chestnut
Stefan – great Austin Powers pull…hahaha!
I watched “The real dirt on farmer John” (http://www.pbs.org/independentlens/realdirt/film.html), cleaned the vegetable garden out after a nice harvest of cucumbers and tomatoes, went to a pumpkin farm in Wisconsin, and scratched my head about the fact that there are still undecided voters. I mean really, didn’t the last eight years made it clear enough that we need the kind of change that will come with Barack Obama?
Thanks for your thoughts Joerg. Check out out our post on Monday for sure!
Oh, now that you got me started, I also rode a bicycle across the Golden Gate Bridge and through Golden Gate Park, had tea in the Japanese Tea Garden and marveled at the cool museum buildings next door. Sunday I saw David Byrne at the Lyric Opera and left with a big smile on my face. Yesterday I worked until midnight, which I am convinced, was the main reason why the Dow Jones shot up this morning.
Look at you go Joerg, you have just become my hero. Hey next month you will be writing about a cool contest!
Karl, Stefan and Joerg what are you dressing up as for Halloween?
