Remember Mom

Mother’s Day is coming upon us quickly (Sunday, May 10th!!). It’s a day that gives us all a good excuse to shower the mother in our life with love, affection and lots of chocolate. The folks around here have some fun traditions to let their moms know that they are special. From buying flowers for gardens to brunches at the ever-so-delicious Niche, there are many ways to say thank you for a lifetime of caring.

This year LIA is helping add to the celebration by appreciating & supporting mothers across the world. To take part, you can visit the LIA store and purchase one of the banana leaf animals. Each one of these little guys are made by a single mother in Africa through an LIA supported co op. This gives mothers with no other way to create income to support their families and ultimately their communities. All proceeds go back to support these mothers and their communities.
